GEORGE COOPER
Captain
BRITISH / NEW ZEALAND
Coming from a maritime family, George was brought up around world-class yachting. For many years, he followed his father as he competed in Finn and Star sailing classes (Finn sailing is a particularly physically demanding single-handed dinghy, and the oldest current Olympic class). Returning to the UK, he graduated with a degree in Geology from Bristol University. After competing for over a decade in Olympic and World-class sailing, in Lasers and Finns, he transferred his skills and knowledge to the superyacht industry in 2012. Starting at the bottom as a mate, within 14 weeks he had travelled over 1000 nautical miles, crossed the Atlantic twice and has never looked back. Since then, he has developed his already impressive skills as a helmsman, rigger, chief officer, and ultimately Captain, both during charters and as a member of racing crew when required. He has now completed his Master 300GT and 500GT and has been Captain of Lady M since 2022. He looks forward to welcoming you on board and ensuring you have a wonderful and safe time on this beautiful yacht. A qualified instructor in powerboats and dinghies, he is also a rescue diver and enjoys all sports. Since working in the Caribbean, he has taken up angling and spearfishing too.
FREDDIE COOPER
Mate
BRITISH / NEW ZEALAND
Since 2015, Freddie has worked as crew, sailing on and off at events and regattas such as the Fastnet (2019) and Cowes Classics Week. In addition to racing, he worked on a 36-foot classic yawl, managing the boat and its refit for the owner for her trip from Cowes to Portugal. In 2017, he worked in a sail loft and is well-equipped to handle repairs. From 2020, he was the Bosun in charge at Plymouth University Yacht Club. Alongside his sailing, he graduated with an HND in Navigation and Maritime Science from Plymouth University.
Like his brother, he grew up with a strong maritime tradition and was brought up around world-class yachting. Freddie is an experienced racing sailor and delivery crew member with experience ranging from dinghies to larger classic yachts. He loves sports and plays rugby and golf, and skis to a high standard. His other passion is music, and he enjoys playing the piano and singing. An open and friendly individual, he works hard and will go the extra mile to make your trip one to remember.

KEITH CAMPBELL
Chief engineer
SOUTH AFRICAN
Having graduated from Kimberley Technical School, the Technical College in Kathu, and Pretoria College, South Africa, it was no surprise when Keith went on to work as a mechanic. He admits to always needing to know how things work and that he spent much of his teen years with a spark plug in hand, taking apart old cars. This led to a fifteen-year career working as a mechanic undertaking maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and latterly assembly work. In 2023, Keith took the decision to broaden his horizons and he has transferred his considerable mechanical skills over to yachting. Upon completing his certification in safety, we are delighted he is part of the team. As well as the opportunity to travel, Keith is looking forward to being part of such a great team and to make the most of this opportunity.
