Carbon. Speed. Distance. A racer that cruises the world.
Liara is a 34-metre high-performance carbon sailing yacht built by Baltic Yachts, the renowned Finnish shipyard, launched in 2019. Exterior design is by Malcolm McKeon, known for some of the most successful performance sailing yachts afloat, with an interior by Adam Lay in clean, contemporary styling. Built entirely in lightweight carbon composite, she was conceived as a true dual-purpose superyacht: competitive under racing conditions, yet comfortable as a world cruiser.
Her design emphasises efficiency, safety, and ease of operation. Dedicated stowage for sails and rigging, with highly optimised deck systems, lets her move quickly between cruising and regatta configuration. The protected cockpit has deep bulwarks for security under sail and a removable hard bimini with a sliding sunroof, for shade when cruising and weight saving when racing. Large curved glass sliding doors connect the cockpit to the raised deck saloon, creating an open, light-filled living space.
She is technically sophisticated yet understated, with a retractable propulsion system to reduce drag under sail and a telescopic keel that combines deep-draft performance with access to shallower cruising grounds. The result is a versatile sailing yacht equally suited to competitive regattas or extended global cruising. Lying in Palma, Mallorca.
